If you will
miss your chapter meeting and are looking for a substitute,
please take note of these points.
* A BNI
member is your substitute of last resort.
A desirable substitute is someone who can buy from or refer
to your fellow members. The best possible substitute is someone
who can give you a strong testimonial. A satisfied client
can build your credibility in ways other substitutes (and
even you) cannot.
* Make
sure that your substitute knows what to say during your
short infomercial. Fax or email a script (the right length)
to your substitute in time for preparation for the meeting.
* Send,
email, or call your referrals to the appropriate chapter members.
Dont let them wait until the next meeting.
* The
same BNI member should not substitute in your chapter more
often than twice every 6 months.
* Try
to invite a substitute whose profession does not conflict
with your chapter members.
* If
the substitute's profession is already represented in the
chapter, the substitute may NOT promote his/her business.
